Located in Shreveport, Towne South Animal Hospital offers pet boarding for cats, dogs, reptiles, and pocket pets so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away.
At Towne South Animal Hospital, we know the importance of finding the perfect boarding facility. We are dedicated to making your pet's vacation as comfortable and satisfying as possible and we promise to take care of your pet as if they were our own.
Our pet boarding facilities are remotely monitored 24 hours a day for smoke, fire, and security. We also remotely monitor temperature sensing and carbon monoxide to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort. Because we are a veterinary hospital, we have a veterinarian on call. If you would like to take a tour of our boarding facilities, we would love for you to stop by any time after 10 am during the week.
To make your pet's stay as comfortable as possible, feel free to send them with their favorite treats, toys, or bedding.
Our Boarding Requirements
Our boarding requirement are as follows:
- Dogs must be current on their distemper, rabies, Bordetella, parvovirus, and canine infuenza vaccines, and have an annual intestinal parasite exam
- Cats must be current on their distemper (FVRCP) and rabies vaccines
- All boarders must provide proof that they are free from parasites – internal or external
Boarding for Dogs
All of our boarders have “potty breaks” 3-4 times a day. You have the option to provide your food or we can provide food for your dog. All boarders stay in individual indoor runs or cages. Beds and linens are provided, but you may bring your pet’s favorite items.
We have several options for boarding your dog with us:
- Luxury Suites – Webcam, TV, Luxury Bed, Ceiling Fan, Glass Door Run
- Deluxe Suites – Webcam, Glass Door Run
- Camp Cosbie – Available with any of the above style boarding
- Regular Boarding – Taken out to walk on a leash
All our boarders who stay at least three consecutive nights receive a complimentary bath before going home!
Boarding for Cats
Our feline friends stay in the lap of luxury in their own separate facility with quiet music and a specially designed playroom. No dogs are allowed in here!
Camp Kitty Cat includes:
- Single, Double and Triple Condos in our Cats Only room!
- Matinee daily featuring “Bird TV” and “Fish TV”
- Beautiful classical music fills the air daily
- For the comfort of our campers, we have air-conditioned and heated facilities
- Their very own camp Counselors to provide individual attention
Boarding for Exotics
- Separate, quiet facility away from those noisy canines!
- Soothing music
- Veterinarian supervised
- If your pet is on medications – please bring them in the ORIGINAL containers and let the staff know about all prescription or over-the-counter medications your pet needs
- Owners must bring all the boarding pet’s bedding, food, and housing
